What data we collect
- Name, delivery address, phone number, email address
- Order and meal plan history
- Dietary requirements and allergy information
- Payment is handled by Stripe, so we do not store your card details ourselves (see "Who we share it with" below)
Why we collect it and our legal basis
- To take and fulfil your food orders, legal basis: performance of a contract with you
- To contact you about deliveries or issues with your order, legal basis: performance of a contract / legitimate interest
- To store allergy and dietary information so we can prepare your food safely, legal basis: your explicit consent, given when you provide this information (this is "special category" health data under UK GDPR, which requires an extra layer of consent beyond ordinary data)
- To keep records for accounting and legal purposes, legal basis: legal obligation
Who we share it with
- Stripe, Inc., to process payments securely. Stripe's own privacy policy applies to how they handle payment data: stripe.com/gb/privacy
- Railway Corp., who host our database and application infrastructure
- We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for marketing.
How long we keep it
We keep client and order data for as long as you're an active customer, and for 6 years afterwards to meet accounting and tax obligations, unless you ask us to delete it sooner and we have no legal reason to keep it.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Ask what data we hold about you
- Ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Ask us to delete your data ("right to be forgotten"), where we don't have a legal reason to keep it
- Ask us to restrict how we use your data while a concern about it is being resolved
- Object to how we use your data where we rely on legitimate interest
- Ask for a copy of your data in a portable format, or ask us to transfer it to another provider (data portability)
- Withdraw consent for allergy data storage at any time (note: we may not be able to safely prepare food for you without it)
- Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you think we've mishandled your data
To exercise any of these, contact info@tameandtrue.com.
